Otonom is an artist collective with members: Trentesix (36), Duster, Desa, Toxic, Doze, and Freon. Thirty Six has developed a concept uniting three elements graphism, architecture and design using large format graphic architecture. His style was constructed with influences from a bachelor's degree in mathmatics and computer sciences, as well as skate boarding, urban street culture archictecture, and street art. 36 takes the same approach towards the conception of graff with 2-d plans, 3-d layers of numeric prints, volumes, stickers, and paint. The graphic parts are really precise as numeric and vectorised elements. Coming from his influence of urbanism, all his pieces used as volumes are recycled elements from old structured parts (equipement: video, music, appliances) that are recombined together as new sculptures. Responsible for the communication department and design for a archectectural company, 36 creates in large formats ( larger than 50 square meters ) vectorised designs made of tape and paint with 3-d elements in relief, combined with aerosol paint designs and numeric prints. Otonom was created after the realisation of a piece for the Who's Next salon in Paris in 2002, with the aim to mix various styles that all use a common approach by 36, Duster and Sade DUSTER ( Nivanh Chanthara ) est avant tout un illustrateur. OtonomOtonom is a colective group of graphic designers, painters, and sound creators who all come from various styles. But complemantary in that all work in the concept of mural interface -- the wall goes beyond just being a support for information and communication, to creat a real interactivity. Otonom is like a research lab of new technology (numeric, artisitic, and graphic) that combines design, graffity, photographie, video, animations, sound effects and design, and works on the concept of recycling electronic structures to creat a real graphism. Otonom gathers elements such as vectorised graphics (done with tape and spray paint) paint (aerosol and acrylic), drawings, 3-d elements, numeric prints in big formats, projections (images or video, animations, Web) Otonom is working on the concept of interactive installations mixing video sound and lights of metallic structures combined with big numeric prints and panels hooked on 3-d elements and modules.
