It is a pleasure to announce the 3rd Workshop on Power-Aware Computing
(PACO 2019), which will be held in Magdeburg (Germany) on November
05-06, 2019. This workshop is the third in a series of workshops on
power-aware computing and takes place at the Max Planck Institute for
Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems. The focus will be on strategies
and algorithms that takes into account minimizing the energy
consumption. All participants are invited to present their own work
at the workshop by a 25+5min talk.
The deadline for submitting an abstract is September 30th, 2019 while
the registration is due by October 11th, 2019.

Abstract submission for talks and posters is now open for the
international Data Science Down Under workshop to be held during 8th -

DD26: Call for contributed talks now open
The 26th International Conference on Domain Decomposition Methods
(DD26) will be held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) from
December 2 to 6, 2019. The purpose of the conference is to bring
together mathematicians, computational scientists and engineers who
work in the main themes of Domain Decomposition, including
theoretical, algorithmic and implementation aspects of domain
decomposition methods, solvers for multiphysics problems,
parallel-in-time methods, multigrid and multilevel methods, fast
solvers and preconditioning, and applications of such methods in
physics and engineering.
We are now inviting contributed talks that fit the themes of DD26.
Each talk should last 25 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for
questions. Contributed talks will be grouped into sessions according
to their themes. If you would like to give a talk in the contributed
talk sessions, please send your name, institution, talk title and
abstract to [email protected] by August 15, 2019, and we will get

of multi-scale numerical simulation of forming of automotive steel. In
the framework of an European research project, we develop a novel
modelling and simulation platform for advanced metal forming processes
in the automotive industry, providing microstructure-based predictions
of plastic anisotropy and integrated with with FEM software. You will
collaborate with a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven on the
development and the validation of the multi-scale software platform
and participate in meetings with leading academic and industrial
partners.
Required qualifications: MSc or PhD in Mathematical Engineering,
Scientific Computing, Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
experience in scientific programming and interest in materials science.
We initially offer the position until July 2020 (end date of the

Uncertainties (OUU) for multiphysics and multiscale problems on
geometrically complex domains. Sofast is a Spanish project (2019-2021)
to develop a computational framework for the design of aircraft
structures through the application of multi-objective and robust
topology optimization algorithms.
Candidates should hold a degree in mathematics, engineering, computer
science, or physics, and an excellent academic record. Experience in
computational fluid dynamics, finite element modeling, UQ,
